HSC provides high quality specialized medical services for the HIV infected population throughout our 14-county service area, regardless of ability to pay. This includes access to clinical and behavioral research studies. These services are provided by three board certified infectious disease physicians and two experienced nurse practitioners available for treatment at our primary site and four satellite locations.  A contract psychiatrist and one or more mental health counselors attend each clinic to provide comprehensive mental health services.  An annual oral health examination and referral to a local dental provider is made for all patients.  Laboratory monitoring of both HIV specific and routine health maintenance items is provided as appropriate, including all necessary immunizations, for all patients enrolled in care.  Referral services for medical care beyond that provided at HSC may be provided through referrals within the patient’s local medical community.  Medication access, nutritional support services, and substance abuse treatment services are available as needed.  Support is also provided for patients requiring housing assistance. Transportation to and from clinic and other medical appointments in HSC vehicles can be provided.  An emergency on call answering service is available for our patients 24 hours a day 7 days a week.

Additionally, HSC offers treatment to a limited number of patients infected with hepatitis B and C.
