![]() CDC Women's Study The Women's Project focuses on risk and protective factors for HIV in African-American women in the South. Study information may help us better understand women’s HIV risk and may provide important prevention information. Project PROTECT Project PROTECT seeks to serve persons at high risk for HIV/AIDS, Hepatitis C, and those who struggle with issues related to drug and alcohol abuse. PEaPLE first PEaPLE first is a four-month intervention that offers drug-using individuals information on how to reduce their risk of becoming infected with or transmitting HIV or hepatitis. Project REAL Project REAL provides Comprehensive Risk Counseling and Services (CRCS) to the re-entry population, those coming back to their community after being incarcerated, in our 14 county service area. This 5 year project will focus on the provision of Substance abuse and HIV prevention for persons at risk for HIV infection, and will provide linkages with local law enforcement and criminal justice providers. |
